The change will not be immediate, and it won’t happen to everyone all at once. There will be a period of transition which will take about ten years to run its course, but the growth tendency of MCM is around 5-15% per year and is starting to steal market share from traditional building. At the moment this type of building accounts for between 5% and 7% at international level but is growing.” According to Barzon, MCM is “the model to which we need to refer if we are to guarantee a more sustainable future in environmental and economic terms.”
