Every year, Houzz – a platform for home design and furnishing – presents a piece of research to REbuild comprising data and analysis of the sector and its evolution. This year, a survey of 8,000 global level home professionals who are registered on the platform was presented, 500 of whom were Italian. Participants were asked for an evaluation of 2017 in relation to their expectations and their forecast for 2018, in terms of their own businesses. “48% of these professionals told us that it had been a positive year, as they had met their earnings expectations – explained Silvia Foglia, Country Operations Manager Italy, for Houzz. 46% of these saw a growth in income compared to the previous year and for 34% of them, this growth exceeded 10%. For the year in progress, expectations are positive: 68% of these professionals expect to see a further growth in earnings and 65% also expect to an increase in profit.”
