The objectives imposed by the Paris Agreement for climate, which involve the inclusion of special measures aimed at maintaining global warming within +2°C, will be difficult to achieve if the current greenhouse gas emissions effect continues. REbuild 2018, held in Riva del Garda, focused its attention, during a number of sessions, on the importance of construction decarbonisation to help reach this important objective. "Companies can confront the sustainability challenge by turning it into a resource,” stated Giusy Calvanese, Head of the Officinae Verdi Project Management Office, whose core business is the green economy - "and they can do so by putting sustainability forward as added value, inserting sustainable innovation within their own business as an evaluation criterion and driving force.” In order to tackle this objective, the ‘Metrics’ system has been adopted by companies within the group, to monitor and manage consumption and emissions.
