The Energiesprong mission is to make the Nearly Zero Energy Retrofit (NZER) a market reality on a grand scale.
This revolutionary and integrated approach aims to radically transform the construction market by creating national Market Development Teams able to guide product and process innovation in order to create repeatable refit models that are sustainable and independent from external variables, such as incentives and energy costs, with a domino effect on supply and demand.
The Italian initiative works at a multidisciplinary level: on the regulatory context that, to date, is not adequate for an industrial approach, and on a business model, which is appealing to financial institutions and guides the stakeholders to develop suitable engineering solutions that can satisfy the needs of the application.Furthermore, the Italian area, for its very nature, has requested that the challenge should also extend to include seismic security.
The critical mass of demand is fundamental to guarantee an intervention perimeter that justifies and covers industrial investments able to reduce costs. To involve an initial critical mass, equal to about 2,000 contracted accommodation units for redevelopment with Energiesprong, a model must be defined that can be replicated on a contractual and technological level. The first step in setting up this activity and bringing the approach to fruition is the creation of a pilot project that will allow the supply chains to dialogue with the contracting stations, through the tool provided for by the procurement code of the competitive dialogue.
