Flavio Bazzana is an associate professor in Economics of financial intermediaries and corporate finance at the University of Trento and has obtained the qualification as a full professor. He graduated in Economics from the University of Siena and continued his academic training by obtaining M. Phil. in Economic Theory and Econometrics at the University of Cambridge, the Specialization Diploma in Banking Disciplines at the University of Siena and the Ph.D. in Markets and Financial Intermediaries, also at the University of Siena. He is currently deputy director of the Department of Economics and Management, responsible for teaching and responsible for the master's degree in Finance. He teaches corporate finance in the three-year degree, investment instruments and derivatives in the master's degree and finance in the doctoral course. He has written numerous articles in national journals (Il Risparmio, Finanza Marketing & Produzione, Banca Impresa Società) and international (Economic Notes, European Journal of Operational Research, Financial Theory and Practice, European Journal of Law and Economics, Journal of Banking and Finance, The Journal of Financial Management, Markets, and Institutions, The Journal of Behavioral Finance) and for various publishing houses (Cedam, Bancaria Editrice, Carocci, Elsevier, Springer). He worked at Mediocredito Trentino Alto Adige and was a consultant for the Autonomous Province of Trento, for the Trentino-Alto Adige Region, for banks and financial intermediaries. He was a member of the board of directors for PensPlan Invest SGR.
