Day 2

Wake Up Run & Yoga

07.00 - 08.00

You can not innovate without taking into account the well-being of people. For this reason, participants in REbuild are invited to a simple and scenic run along the lake or to a Yoga Fluid session that will take place on the morning of June 23rd at 7.00.
The meeting point is the entrance of the Congress Center. Sport t-shirts will be provided with an elegant stimulus to innovation and movement. There is also a space available to change.
Sports activities are also an excellent and proven networking opportunity that this year is kindly offered by Manni Group.

HEALTH AND COMFORT

09.00 - 10.30

The new drivers behind sustainability
Demand transforms and re-qualifies real estate according to new directives: wellbeing and comfort are becoming increasingly pressing issues for those who plan and intervene, to the point where wellness has been defined as the new ‘green.’ This session will focus on the criteria and practices that are able to improve the quality of the interior environment: from the choice of materials to the management of installations. It is a matter of providing planning and technical solutions for both the regeneration of existing assets and also for new-build.

INTERVENTIONS OF
Leopoldo Busa, Titolare - Bio-Safe
Gaetano Settimo, Researcher - Istituto Superiore Sanità
Giulio De Gregorio, General Manager - Saint Gobain
Francesca Galeazzi, Advanced Building Engineering -Arup

INNOVATION IN ARCHITECTURE AND BUILDINGS

09.00 - 10.30

What does “innovation in architecture and building” mean today? The transformation of production processes in fields relating to architecture - additive manufacturing, automation and robotics allow a glimpse into the potential applications and transfers in the construction industry. This in turn results in a parallel rediscovery of manual skill, craftsmanship and ancient construction systems in a high-tech and low-tech prospective of sustainability that hybridises at all levels, from the micro-urban environment to the building and materials component – and that innovates both in the field of new construction and that of re-use.
How can these opportunities for real innovation in processes and products be transferred, moving away from isolated experimentation, to qualify production and stimulate a productive system that has, historically, resisted change?

INTERVENTIONS OF
Matteo Robiglio, Architect and Professor - TRA shared architecture
Vicente Guallart, General Director - Urban Habitat

ROBOTS: AUTOMATION ENTERS THE BUILDING SITE

11.00 - 12.00

The increase in efficiency is going through a new integration between capital and work: the arrival of robotics presents an important stage in this sense and it becomes pivotal to glean the opportunities in building production.
Even though automation has not yet made its way into European construction, Thomas Bock, internationally acclaimed expert in this field, will highlight, using concrete case studies, how the experiences of Asian countries and the latest generation robots can make a profound change to the construction chain.

INTERVENTIONS OF
Thomas Miorin, Presidente - RE-Lab Srl
Thomas Bock, Baurealisierung und Baurobotik - TU Munich

DIGITAL PLATFORMS FOR CONSTRUCTION PERFORMANCE

12.00 - 12.30

Arc is the digital platform launched by Green Business certification INC. (GBCI) to measure, in real time, the performance of any building, neighbourhood or city. It can be applied to any project, LEED certification or other protocols, or even non-certification situations. Arc transforms sustainability into a dynamic process, with a strong communication impact, aimed at continued improvement.

INTERVENTION OF
Kay Killmann, Presidente - German GBC

GOOD PRACTICES AND INCENTIVES FOR THE REQUALIFICATION OF CONDOMINIUMS

11.00 - 12.30

This session will focus on existing requalification models for condominiums and the requirements and possibilities for the development of a dedicated supply chain.

INTERVENTION OF
Francesco Cattaneo, General Manager - Habitech
Alessandro Cattaneo, President - Federimmobiliare
Mauro Gilmozzi, Assessore alle infrastrutture e all'ambiente - Provincia Autonoma di Trento
Giovanni Pivetta, Manager - Habitami
Massimo Trevisan, Manager - Protocollo energETICO

CLOSING PLENARY SESSION

14.00 - 16.30

THE DIGITAL BUILDING SITE

High production building is noted for its greater efficiency of site activity management. The digital infrastructure presents a key factor in the building site, for both the management of resources and materials and also for time control and the workers’ safety. This session will bring together the experiences and results of an Italian constructor, a multi-national capable of creating and managing a network of data and a national group that offers digital and 4.0 industrial solutions for the construction industry. The speakers will underpin the approaches and the advantages.

INTERVENTIONS OF
Micol Filippetti, Owner - Filippetti S.p.A

RE-QUALIFY CONDOMINIUMS, WHITHOUT INCENTIVES
The first forays into deep retrofit have long been seen as low-density construction and relatively easy technical and management contexts. For years now, the challenge has been the application of construction manufacturing principles in high-density situations too, and in situations noted for their increased technical and management complexity. A planner and a small business making prefabricated solutions from Holland will show us, with data and real examples, their approach to the requalification of condominiums, capable of bringing the entire building to zero energy levels in a very short time, allowing the residents to continue using the space and with costs that provide an energy-saving payback.

INTERVENTIONS OF
Thomas Miorin - Energiesprong Italia
Roberto Fedrizzi - Responsable Research Group - Eurac
Peter Gossen, Design Manager (Architect) - BouwNext
Jan Willem Sloof, C.E.O. - Renolution

IS BUILDING SUBSTITUTION SUSTAINABLE?
In many contexts the demolition and reconstruction of obsolete buildings represents a desirable intervention perspective. Nevertheless, speed is of the essence when a new building replaces an old one, as is the price charged when deciding to go for a building replacement. Can new off-site production chains really offer a solution able to keep speed of execution, contained costs and project quality together? Italian workers will discuss this starting out from their concrete experiences in the field.

INTERVENTIONS OF
Thomas Miorin, President - RE-Lab Srl
Giovanni Spatti, President - Wood Beton

TOWARDS BUILDING 4.0

The industry is facing a period of radical innovations in these years, which will radically transform production processes with important effects on productivity and economic accounts. Industry 4.0 reduces the distance between the buildings and the rest of the manufacturing, while the themes of the circular economy and energy call for a new agenda for those who work in building and real estate. Representatives of government and business associations will discuss about it.

INTERVENTIONS OF
Stefano Firpo, General Director for Industrial Policy, Competitiveness - MiSE
Filippo delle Piane, Vice-President - ANCE
Andrea Bianchi, Director of Industrial Policy Confindustria
Silvia Rovere, Presidente - Assoimmobiliare
Gianni Silvestrini, Presidente GBC Italia
