Andrea Boschetti is an architect with his PhD in Urban Planning from the University Institute of Architecture in Venice, Italy (IUAV), with a portion of his doctoral research conducted at Columbia University in New York. He has lectured extensively in universities throughout Italy and abroad (Columbia University in New York, University of Illinois-Chicago, University of Ascoli, University of Pescara, University of Lucca, University of Genoa, University of Venice, University of Trieste, University of Rome, University of Florence, University of Mendrisio, Cornell University-Rome, CELCIUS Post-Graduate Masters’ Program-Lucca, Syracuse University-Florence). From 2001 to 2004, he served as Scientific Advisor to the Administration of Bolzano (Italy). Since 2003, Boschetti has been adjunct professor of Architectural Design in the Architectural Science program at the Polytechnic Institute of Torino, first Faculty, coordinating the Laboratory 1 of Architecture and Urban Development, and in the Master of Science of Project Unit (2006, Polytechnic Institute of Torino). In 2004, he was awarded the “Meritorious in the Schools of Culture and Art” bronze medal by the President of the Italian Republic. He teaches in the MASP course at CELSIUS of Lucca, and is adjunct professor at Kent State University in Cleveland (USA).
Boschetti was the scientific consultant and manager of PGT (Territorial Zoning Planning Commission of Milan) and a consultant for Architectural and Urban Design Activities and Cultural Events for the Urban Center of Torino. Since 2011, he has been editorial consultant and representative on the Editorial Board for THE PLAN – Architecture & Technologies in Detail (magazine). In 2012, Boschetti participated as a member of the Jury for the International Design Competition for the KILFD Signature Tower Project (Kuala Lampur, Malaysia), as well as for the Competition titled “Concept for the development of a recreational area on the high plateau” in Naz-Sciaves, Italy. He is currently serving as Director of METROGRAMMA’s headquarters in Moscow.
